LA VUELTA DEL YAGUARETÉ: UNA HAZAÑA CORRENTINA
Los grandes carnívoros, además de cumplir importantes roles ecológicos en los ecosistemas que habitan, se convierten en símbolos alrededor de los cuales la cultura se manifiesta.
El yaguareté ha moldeado no sólo el paisaje sino también la tradición ibereña. Y su vuelta significa el regreso de un símbolo que es sinónimo de bravura y orgullo, con el cual los correntinos se identifican.
Una de las manifestaciones culturales más típicas de Corrientes es el carnaval. Y el yaguareté (junto a otras especies reintroducidas en el Iberá) ha vuelto a estar presente en los motivos de una de las comparsas, Sapucay.
Los correntinos logran que el yaguareté vuelva a los pastizales y montes del Iberá, y también a ser parte de una cultura más viva, rica y diversa.______
THE RETURN OF THE JAGUAR: A CORRENTINE FEAT
In addition to performing crucial ecological roles in the ecosystems they inhabit, large carnivores often become cultural icons that inspire diverse artistic expressions.
The jaguar has shaped both Iberá's landscapes and tradition. Courage and pride—two cherished values by the people of Corrientes, in northeastern Argentina—return with this big feline.
One of the most significant cultural expressions in Corrientes is the carnival. And the jaguar, along with other species being reintroduced in Iberá, has returned to the Sapucay troupe's floats.
The Correntine people have returned the jaguar to the grasslands and forests of Iberá and, also, to a more vivid, rich, and diverse culture.
